This is a road Tripping machine! Our family of 5 bought this to do a 10 week cross Canada and US road trip in 2019. Then we did a few more adventures and now we are looking to travel overseas. Seriously the most fun vehicle I have ever owned! The memories we made in this camper will last a life time.
At 27’ long this is just the right size! Small enough to get into regular camp sites and move around town and big enough for all your people and stuff.
Ford V10 Gas Motor has tons of power even in the big mountains. Reasonable on fuel if you go easy. Hitch on rear so you could pull a trailer or car behind as well. We mostly had a bike carrier in the hitch. 2 new front tires this year and rears still have lots of life. Air bags in rear suspension help if you have a full load. Mechanically tight with all service completed and nothing needed before your next trip.
This was one of the most popular models and for lots of good reasons, but we loved the Sleeping and Traveling set up. The bunk over the cab had room for an extra mattress so all 3 kids slept up top and this meant the couch and table was always set up and ready to use. Set up for camp and packing up to drive, are a breeze as the slides and awning are all powered with the push of a button. Traveling everyone had room to play games, move around or change seats with snacks only steps away. There are seat belts for 8 total. 3 on the bench, 3 in the booth, and 2 up front. We rarely had anyone other than our 5.
2 slides – The Booth/kitchen table slides out as does the master bedroom. We were nervous about the split bed design at first but we were re assured it was okay from other owners of this same style and they were right, it is comfy and we slept like teenagers in here. Lol
Kitchen is high functioning for the size with everything you need. We cooked most meals outside on a portable BBQ but this was perfect when we needed it.
TV over door is on a bracket that swings out. You can watch movies while driving or parked. Great for rainy nights.
Main bedroom at the back has room to walk all the way around the bed with storage above and we added hooks to the wall for jackets and sweaters.
Built in Onan Generator was great for running the AC or microwave when we were at sites with no service or for back up on extended stays. We rarely used it, with only 62 hours on it now. Also push button start. Solar on the roof will charge the batteries, and there is a jumper between the cab and the camper if the battery ever died, so you can boost.
Lots of storage in the unit and in the compartments from the outside.
Everything looks and works great - we just re did the exterior decals as the old ones started to crack.
